A short description of all members of Green Day

Billie Joe Armstrong:

Billie Joe Armstrong, born on February 17, 1972 in Oakland, California,

is an American punk artist headlining in the punk rock band Green Day.

He released his first album with the band, 39/Smooth in 1990. This was the first

ever Green Day album but not the first song Billie released. His song

"Look for Love" was his first ever recorded song created by Armstrong

at just 5 years old. He met his band mate and best-friend Micheal Pritchard,

better known by his stage name "Mike Dirnt" during his school years at Pinole Valley

High School before dropping out to pursue his music career on February 16, 1990.

Mike Dirnt:

Micheal Pritchard, better known by his stage name, "Mike Dirnt", is the bass player for the

American punk rock band Green Day. Born on May 4, 1972 in Berkley, California, Mike met

Billie Joe Armstrong during his highschool years before dropping out with him on February 16, 1990.

They were the two founding members of the band. Mike started learning to play bass originally for

Billie so they could start a band together. Their first album as a band was 39/Smooth releasing in 1990.

From there, they released many famous albums including Nimrod (1994), Dookie (1995),

American Idiot (2004), and their most recent, Saviors (2024).

Tré Cool

Frank Edwin Wright III, better known by his stage name "Tré Cool" is the drummer for the

American punk rock band Green Day. He was born on December 9,1972 in Willits, California.

Unlike Billie and Mike, Tré was not a founding meber of the band but rather joined in 1990,

replacing former drummer John Kiffmeyer. Similar to Mike and Billie, Tré also dropped out of

highschool and the band began thinking of breaking up because of the adjustment to having him

as their new drummer. His first album with the band was Kerplunk, the band's second studio album.

Tré has been with the band ever since.
